Disappointing
This is well-made and looks exactly like Wall-E. Unfortunately, it is disappointing in that (a) it has a female American voice, not Wall-E's voice (b) The number of games within each activity are extremely limited and do not make full use of the range of numbers and letters. For example, the spelling game - where a child is asked to find the first letter of a word - contains only about 7 words, whereas you would expect it to have at least 26. (c) the display is very small, basic and monotone.
(d) One of the activities does not work.
My daughter loves computers and loves the character Wall-E but has not had much fun with this.

V-smile Pocket - BRILLIANT
Fantastic vtech have done it again - they capture childrens imagination brilliantly. My son loves his vpocket he is very nearly 4 and I wanted something he could enjoy that was also educational and this ticks all the boxes. The games each teach various different skills, numbers, colours, shapes, problem solving, french, spelling etc. We bought this instead of the v-smile console as I thought the console was quite clumsy and less flexible to our needs. The games go up to the 7-9 age range so it should last him and his brother years. Great investment. My son is already reasonably capable of using the controls on his cousins playstation so I knew he would cope with the controls on this. It connects up to the TV easily yet it's also portable so great for plane or car journeys. The screen clarity is much better than the leapster so no contest there. A must buy for every parent.

brought the pocket v smile for our daughters birthday, so she can use in when traveling. we alreally own a v smile system which is great. we brought v smile pocket as it takes the same games. our daughter loves it, it goes everywhere with her. its great theres such a choice of games to choose from.. brilliant for learning.
